Why should I hire a doula? What are the benefits?

Q: How can you support me with lactation?
A: I am well trained in lactation support and can provide assistance with breastfeeding and addressing common challenges. I can also provide education on breastfeeding and refer clients to additional resources as needed. Whether you need help perfecting your latch, are worried about baby getting enough milk, or need help coming up with alternative options without judgement, I am here to support your family!
How will hiring you affect my partner’s role during the birth?
At Whole Heart Doula Services, I understand the importance of having a partner involved in the labor and birth process. That's why I work with both you and your partner to provide education and support throughout the entire process. I will help your partner understand how they can best support you during labor and birth, and take care of the little details so you can focus on the birth of your new baby. Hiring a doula can help take the pressure off your partner, and allow them to be fully present and supportive during this special time.
