My Own Experiences

I have always been inspired by the strength of women and the miracle of birth. This is why I became a professional doula and am proud to serve women and families throughout the Greater Toronto Area

Every woman deserves to have someone there to guide and assist them in making educated choices about their pregnancy, and remind them that they can trust the strength of their bodies during this time. I’m here to provide unbiased information and emotional support. Please get in touch to find out more.

Postpartum Education

Doula Canada's Postpartum Education program covered all things postpartum, from immediate care after birth to caring for infants up to 5 months old. The in person aspect of the program provided hands on experience of caring for babies and meeting their basic needs (swaddling, changing diapers, carrying, bathing, etc.), and the online modules went in depth to educate about sleep care, child and mother nutrition, breastfeeding, comfort measures, and generally speaking, supporting the family unit as a whole.

Basics of Breastfeeding

The Basics of Breastfeeding certification program with Doula Canada covered everything a birth and postpartum caregiver should know about feeding an infant. The program went in depth on latching, stages of milk production, timing of feedings, understanding baby's cues, etc. The program provided immense material for students to use practically in their work with clients to educate and assist mothers with feeding their babies.

Labour and Birth Education

The Birth Doula program with Doula Canada covers all things pre-birth, including nutrition, comfort measures, preparing for labour, how to educate partners and mothers, creating birth plans, and much more. The program became more hands on when teaching about labour, going into depth about massage techniques, coping mechanisms, tools used, processes in labour, adjusting plans in high stress and ever changing situations, and how to advocate for clients.
